Disable cgroups in ASL 4.0.11

Unread post by prupert »

Hi ASL,

Since the ASL 4.0.11 update "/var/asl/bin/cgacct.sh" is run frequently as part of "/etc/cron.d/asl_cg". Also, the process "cgrulesengd" is running and taking a significant amount of CPU cycles. We do not want to use the ASL Rev Limiter. Is it possible to disable the cronjob and process via ASL?

Sure, we can add that in to the next update. BTW you could use Rev Limiter to put a container around that process to not consume CPU. I've actually been using that around syscheckd in ossec with the I/O limiter.
