Cannot install on RHEL
Cannot install on RHEL
I am having an issue with the installer, and I have searched to find a solution to no avail. When I try to install I receive this warning:
Do you agree to these terms (yes/no) [Default: yes]
Checking for free space: Done
Checking for memory requirements: PASS
Checking sudo: PASS
WARNING: 3rd party yum repositories could conflict during ASL configuration.
The following repositories were detected:
rhel-6-server-rpms rhel-x86_64-server-6 rhel-x86_64-server-optional-6
Recommendation: Temporarily disable these repositories before continuing the installation.
Do you wish to continue? (yes/no) [Default: no]
Exiting...
I checked /etc/yum.repos.d and the only repo that is listed there is rhel-6-server-rpms, which I disabled. This did not solve the issue. I then manually added sections to the conf for rhel-x86_64-server-6 and rhel-x86_64-server-optional-6 to attempt to disable those, but that did not work. Finally, I added enabled = 0 to the main repo under yum.conf, and this did not work either. How can I get this installed properly?

Re: Cannot install on RHEL
Ive never seen those before, what are they? where did they come from & what is in them?
Re: Cannot install on RHEL
They appear to be part of the REDHAT CDN
https://access.redhat.com/documentation ... nnels.html
I didn't install this instance of redhat, and am only trying to figure out what is going on.

Re: Cannot install on RHEL
Added exceptions for those to the latest installer, v 5.0.12. Just run it again like you did before, it should be good to go.
Re: Cannot install on RHEL
I'm still getting the error when running the installer, is it safe to just ignore it?
Re: Cannot install on RHEL
We paid for this license yesterday and would like to get this installed, could we please get a response to this thread?

What happens when you say "yes", since you know these repos can be trusted?

If I say yes, it just asks me if I'm sure. I just want to be sure this installation doesn't bring the machine down, as it is currently hosting 50+ websites. If you say it's safe, I'll go ahead.

Re: Cannot install on RHEL
As long as those are official Redhat repositories, you can say yes. If they are third party versions of those repositories, then we cant say what will happen. We just test against redhats official sources for RHEL.

Re: Cannot install on RHEL
Thanks for the reply, as far as I can tell they are official repos for a subscribed redhat customer, I'll give it a shot. What are the chances of getting these exceptions added to the installer so I don't see the warning?
