Cloudifying OpenVAS

Unread post by phydroxide »

The setup process for OpenVAS on CentOS is really straightforward. The File pull happens automatically, but then it is really bulky.
I'd like to remotely mount the content and signature plugins, and know just what a bare-minimum package of binaries I would need to execute a scanner from a virtual host in an isolated server that has no Internet connection.
I don't know if this can already be done, but if not, please consider requirements that would help me put it into my "whatever cloud"

1) Lightweight
2) High Portability
3) Support narrow policy definition
4) Full Build in CICD pipleline can be broken into efficient components for scaled delivery
