Automating openvas scan using jenkins

I have installed openvas 9 on centos 7. I wanted to automate scans using jenkins. For that I found a way by running openvas in command line mode.
I wanted to run command line scans using openvas.
Can you please help me running it in command line mode. I have zero knowledge about that.
I went through gvm-cli docs but it did not help me much.
