ossec-Maild High CPU Utilization

Installed OSSEC on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and just noticed that ossec-Maild is causing the CPU to experience high utilization.
Restarting the service or rebooting the system only provides temporary relief for the CPU.
Suggestions on what to look would be appreciated.
