spamassassin per mailbox settings

Unread post by faris »

Is anybody using the -x --virtual-config-dir option in spamassassin with qmail-scanner to provide per-mailbox/domain configurations?

Or maybe some other method of providing per-mailbox or just per domain settings for SA (with qmail-scanner).

Any tips you'd like to share?

For general qmail-scanner per domain settings see the manual inside /var/spool/qscan/settings_per_domain.txt.

For SpamAssassin per domain settings in a qmail-scanner setup you might want to look into using a database as back-end, see also http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/UsingSQL (wiki is unfortunately down today) and http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/spamass ... sql/README. Please note that you need to add an extra parameter to the SA_SETTINGS config variable in qmail-scanner.ini. We have tried it in a test environment, never used it in production... YMMV :)

thank you.

I've got the qmail-scanner side working on a per-user basis. That was initially confusing but once I'd figured out where the file had to be, it was plain sailing :-)

I'll experiment with the sa/sql stuff once the wiki comes up. Interesting. thanks again!
