I've been trying to run qmail-scanner and ClamAV for some time now. But on a server that processes throusands or -- on some days -- even tens of thousands of messages, running qmail-scanner with all its Perl overhead on every single message is just too much of a waste of resources.
So I've been looking around for alternatives and came across Qscanq:
http://www.qscanq.org/
It's a qmail-queue wrapper written in C that simply calls clamdscan, rejects infected messages, and leaves eveything else alone. No Perl interpreter, no Spamassassin, nothing. Just streamlined virus-scanning.
So my question is: Has anybody tried to run Qscanq with ClamAV on a Plesk server yet? Does it work? Is there aything I need to know before giving it a try? I'm on a 3ES server running Plesk 7.5.4.
Thanks in advance!
