Yup, and it has major major issues. I absolutely do not recommend anyone use it at this time.

I was running 5.0.75 I built.

mysql-5.1.30 I am running on plesk no issues at all, this version had a lot of fixes.

You do have to build mysqlclient15 compat libraries. I just tweaked mine to 5.0.75 and added the nds libraries as these are now .3 in 5.1 as compared to old .2

Perhaps now as I have stable plesk Scott will build 5.1

If you want I can give you my srpms and you can build your own. All my srpms based on rawhide (fedora 11). I have only built f8 and f10 i386 versions.

5.0.74 is in atomic-testing now. 5.1 still has issues on the test server I'm running it on. The following page lists the open bugs:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/open-bugs.html

Quite a few of these are show stoppers

Even Monty said to be careful of 5.1:

http://monty-says.blogspot.com/

"The reason I am asking you to be very cautious about MySQL 5.1 is that there are still many known and unknown fatal bugs in the new features that are still not addressed."

Scott,

Have you tested 5.1.34? It's got all the old bugs squashed. Remi has builds for all fedora down to 7 as well as it's now in f11 for release. My plesk server been running it and no issues or SQL errors on the forums. You have to build a libcompat to make plesk happy but that's easy.

yes, the innodb problem is still there. I was checking out mariadb, apparently monty has collected most of the mysql development team from sun/oracle to work on it. Check it out here: http://askmonty.org/wiki/index.php/MariaDB
