CentOS 6 yum support

Unread post by Kalimari »

Hi,
Have noticed not all packages are available for 64-bit CentOS 6 in atomic repo, in particular spamdyke & imapsync (update: just noticed imapsync now requires subscription payment). Can install from rpm, but would prefer core installs to be inline with atomic repo; for obvious reasons ;-)
Is this something which will be addressed/updated in due course or should atomic subscribers request required packages?
Thanks!

Also spamassassin is missing from CentOS 6 repo. Is there a particular reason?
Thanks

Hi,
Is there a reason for spamdyke & spamassassin not being in the CentOS 6 repos?
Is there a better way/place to request this?
Installing from other repos/rpms is less than ideal due to compatibility issues...
Thanks

CentOS 5 and 6 both come with SpamAssassin 3.3.1 in the base repository. I even exclude spamassassin from Atomic, since it contains an older version (3.2.5), but with a higher epoch, which is why yum regards it as a newer version than 3.3.1 from the base repository. Or is there some special magic in the Atomic package for SpamAssassin?

Thanks. Maybe that explains why it is not in repo? Have spamassassin installed from base, but could not get the version of spamdyke installed from rpm to work correctly with atomic qmail-scanner. Have moved over to postfix/amavisd-new/spamassassin to test set-up/configuration/flexibility... So far achieving similar results to qmail/qmail-scanner/spamdyke/spamassassin.
