I am running RHEL5 with plesk 8.2.1
I removed DrWeb with
#yum remove drweb*
I removed psa spamassassin
#yum remove psa-spamassassin
I installed everything with
#yum install spamassassin clamd razor pyzor dcc qmail-scanner
Made the entries in /etc/xinetd.d/smtp_psa
(and /etc/xinetd.d/smtps_psa? )
Ran qmail-reconfigure but as I hadn't changed any settings in local.cf or qmail-scanner.ini I don't think that mattered.
Everything ran fine. I did not reboot the server as it is in production, but I did restart services, spamd, qmail and anything else I could think of.
Now emails that come through show they were processed by ClamAV but nothing about SA.
I ran the test emails no-spam and spam through the spamc and they ran fine, but when I email them to an account on the server the spam email passes through no problem and there are no SA headers to be seen.
Did I miss something? Where do I find the point where SA runs to verify that it is running?
ClamAV SA setup
NEXT DAY
Because I installed the ATR repositories before doing these changes yesterday, today when the Plesk daily yum update ran this morning, I got a million updates and now, suddenly, SA is running in the process and tagging all the spam correctly. Weird. So something updated and fixed it and, sadly I don't know what. So, I guess this thread won't be of help to anyone else.
I also notice that Plesk updated to 8.3.0 and PHP updated to 5.2.5. I think I'll start a new topic for this.
