Email Issue Can't Send E-mail 421 fopen

Unread post by youngnovice »

Get the error 421 fopen('users/assign') failed (#5.7.10) Permission denied.

Having issues with only one domain. No others. Get this error when trying send out email from it. Also I'm not receiving email that anyone is sending me, it seems to just sit on the server.

Saw a suggestion on Plesk board saying chmod to 644, but nothing.. it reverts back to -rw------- 1 root qmail.

Looking for help.

Heres what it looks like on my box:

-rw------- 1 root root 20001 Jan 26 13:53 assign

Sounds like something is wrong with the utilities that read that file. Have you removed the setuid bit or otherwise changed the permissions on anything else on the system?

users/assign

Haven't changed anything. It recently did it with new domains I just added. I'm not having problems with any of the older domains on the server with that error. What should I be looking for as far as the permissions or ownership for the files for qmail.

Thanks

Error users/assign

It seems that once I chmod 644 assign and then add a new address it reverts back to the other permission and I'm unable to receive mail and those sending mail to me get that permissions error.
