I had a look on 1and1 OS options, unfortunately no CentOS options:

Fedora Core 6 with Plesk 8.2 (64 bit)

Ubuntu 6.06 minimal system (64 bit)

Debian 3.1 (stable/sarge) minimal system (64 bit)
Debian 3.1 (stable/sarge) minimal system

I'll be sending the initrd file to support@ this weekend.

You can re-image a 1and1 box with centos using AOOI. Thats where I developed it at originally.
