Thanks for your reply,

I just read on another post here that PAE is in the beta channel, but there is still an issues with it at present. So for now I'll leave PAE and work with the 3.5GB of the 4GB I have. 3.5Gb is better than 3GB anyway.

I'm going install Plesk 9 (if that's in the yum channel now it's released) on my server, and even though the ASL web gui isn't supported in Plesk 9, I'm hoping that won't effect the level of security that ASL brings to a server. If it is an issue, then I will hold off signing up to ASL until the web gui is fixed.

Is Plesk 9 in the yum channel?

I just did an install, and it installed Plesk 8.6 over yum using the yum install psa.

Thanks,

Matt

If you really want to install Plesk 9 now, why don't you just follow the official install instructions?

I was hoping for yum install, but guess I will have too.

Is there still support for updates on yum?

Plesk 9.0 will probably be in the yum repository at some point, but I think Scott doesn't want to burden his users with the problems of a x.0 release that's just a few days old. Or he just hasn't gotten around to it yet.

Its a problematic release. I do NOT recommend you upgrade to it at this time.

Surely it's not that bad or they wouldn't have put it out.

Aus-city is currently using it. Is it more Plesk 9 and ASL issues, or just Plesk 9 issues?

So if I wait, I'll say have another 3 months before the next update and ASL support. Thats just a pain.

Tell you what, I'll add it if you field all the support issues here in the forums for it.

I use to be sole world wide support for a training package once based on MS Access database. That was fun.

Just forward all emails to someonewhocares@swsoft.com
