I know this may be seen as blasphemy on this forums, but there are way more reliable repositories available.
I'd recommend checking out IUS (https://ius.io) or Remi (http://rpms.remirepo.net) if you want to deviate from the stock PHP packages on a RHEL/CentOS system.

Thanks for the suggestion. We may have to consider if the delays continue at this rate.
I seem to recall that the Atomic packages had some additional security features built-in. Not sure if that is still the case but if you remember anything similar, do the aforementioned repos have similar protections in place?
