Not Using Plesk Updater

I'm currently only using yum to update my server. Is this good enough? I had a problem in the past with the built in Plesk updater, which is why I switched to ART.

I've disabled the Plesk Updater icon in the web interface. I use the autoinstaller, which is like the cli version of the Plesk Updater, though.
