PHP 5.1.x ART Release ???

Hey Scott I am curious if you have a time frame for when the next version of PHP 5.1.x will be released as a stable update?

I am running some software, ModernBill 5 that appears to be incompatable with PHP 5.0.4

I get the following type of error

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Access level to ShowLogin::execute() must be (as in class mb_action) or weaker in ...

Does this error look like one of the bugs that PHP 5 has?

The package itself is very stable, I believe however there are a lot of 3rd party php apps that aren't compatible with it yet. I don't have any plans to move 5.1 into the [atomic] channel at this time.

Will anything on a plesk 8 box with FC4 get messed with by upgrading php? Or just come scripts that users might be using?

Hey Jim... if you follow the directions, everything seems to work... I've had good luck all the ART stuff ... Scott does a great job!

FC4 already includes PHP5 out of the box of course.
