Upgrade from Red Hat Linux 7.3 (!!!)
Upgrade from Red Hat Linux 7.3 (!!!)
Hello there -
I found myself with two old RH 7.3 and a RH 8.0 server in my hands, and I wanted to ask you what would you suggest me for a system upgrade.
Is a full re-imaging of the servers the only solution I have, or are there realistic chances of doing a system upgrade to any existing distro? And what tips can you give me in case of a system upgrade?
Thanks!

cant send you anything at aim
after a short break do the following
reinitialize the box with a 64bit system (fc6 64)
then rerun the script and now downloadin the x86_64 image
had reinit first to a minimum fc6 (think non64). the script fail on suse 10.1 (the original image delivered)
the raid-gliches are gone too
still downloadin...
thx

Ive done 5 installs on fc6 at 1and1 since sunday, I can confirm that it works just fine on both the single and dual cpu boxes. What does the serial console say?
As I mentioned before on the main page (you do read that right?
) there are some outstanding issues with CentOS 5 on some network hardware at 1and1. Theres nothing I can do about that. Ive run into it at least once so far (out of 100 or so).
