hi scott,
the sercon say exact nothing.
as i wrote above, the box just hangs for 25mins or so at
Done.
Setting up installer kernel: Done
ks path is hd:sda2/ks-1and1x86_64.cfg
1cpu load 100 by lilo during this 25mins.
can u tell me how long till eol for fc6?
edit: btw, its possible to find your older script thats install FC4?

/edit2 i woult tryin now to START your script directly over the sercon, after login i get
RAID1 conf printout:

anyone know what this mean? its a new box, a hdd failure?

btw... how long this runnin? take this 30mins or more at this point?

after a hour i now killed lilo.
the script is done done to...

this exists in the lilo.conf.md
when i now try a...
lilo -R atomic
i just get
Fatal: No image "atomic" is defined

ok, after some more hours the status
box still running but without the reboot to boot into the installimg.
when i start #lilo and enter "lilo -R atomic"... nothing, lilo goin to high load and nothing more.
noone can help? i dont like the idea to use fc6

So just to understand what you're seeing, you run AOOI, and then it hangs when running lilo. Correct?

ive now run smartctl longrun on both disks...

both disks looks fine and 1+1 DONT change the disks without a errorlog...

any other hints why lilo hang?
maybe hang is the wrong description, lilo still respond, i can close it with strg-c, but when i just type "lilo" the ยง$%/! goin up to 100% cpu for an hour or i close it

need i other scripts for this systems? just saw on the frontpage the installer will work with all linux versions.
btw... lilo work as expected on ubuntu

I think this might be a kernel problem with the latest 2.6.20.2 kernel they're using. What kernels did ubuntu and suse boot into?

the path is wrong. here we need a "/i386" or /x86_64 between ...../isos and Centos......
narf... 2 days and still no centos

on all other Oss lilo works, just in fc6 lilo hangs... AAAAHHHHHH
/edit: scott, when u need a box to test the new kernels with your scripts, i have one, you can take it a week or so. i remember some months ago you asked for boxes to test
/edit2 i run the last test now (reinit suse 9.3 64) when this fails too, ill reinit back to suse 10.1 and the second one with the line 72 error ant tell you the kernelversions

Cool, all I need to confirm this is the output from uname -a on each distro, and if lilo works with it or not.

ouch, DONE...
just manually create the mountpoint and all looks good.
cos5 up/updated and running
psa 8.2.1 up and runnin, (ya, the old key works)
atomic added, updated and running

Its very possible that some change has been made to their FC6 image. It is a customized version, and not a normal FC6 install at all. Given that most of those systems were running the same kernel, the kernel can be ruled out as the cause.
Which OS did you manually create the mount point for? FC6?
