One word of caution - the domainkeys implementation appears to be broken. To test:

1) Create a plesk mail account that forwards to a yahoo address
2) Send to the forwarding address from gmail
3) Watch the email log for "qmail-remote-handlers[26076]: call_handlers: stop call handlers because handler 'dd51-domainkeys' not PASS (31)"
4) Get bouncy-bouncy

On, off, sign only - doesn't matter in the slightest. That, and I get a timeout trying to access the "portals" category of the appvault when trying to install an app in a domain. I'd give this one a bit longer to cook.

I guess this just to proves you can't test everything. :)

I hope Plesk solves this very quickly via a hot fix, or does someone know a solution or workaround for this?

You could just not use DomainKeys if you're having problems with it, I guess. I haven't tried it yet myself.

But exi1ed0ne says : On, off, sign only - doesn't matter in the slightest. So if I do not select DK to be used I am fine? Thx! breun

We haven't seen any e-mail problems with Plesk 8.4.0 yet.

I have DK completely turned off on the server, as well as per domain. It makes no difference on or off though - I've tried every possible combination, as we do a lot of gmail to yahoo forwarding. This does not happen for every message, just with gmail and yahoo in the scenario I have outlined above. I've sent email via other services to the same alias without it being blocked by the server.

My guess is that due to gmail signing the message, the server is freaking out after the address is translated to the forwarding address. The message then appears to be coming from the local server as it is re-injected in the queue. Just a hunch though.

In any case it is easy to reproduce using the steps above, or you can just grep for the log message and see what is going on around the timestamp. I'd be interested in hearing if gmail to yahoo forwarding is working correctly in 8.4 for someone.

I stand corrected. The issue goes away with the combo of verify on and sign messages off. It is still mighty disappointing.
