Right now I'm on plesk 7.5 and using yum repos for mysql etc. I want to upgrade to Plesk 8. Is it best just to use the Plesk updater, let it do it's thing, then do yum updates?

either way works, sometimes you'll run into conditions that the plesk updater cant handle, which yum can. On the other hand theres no easy way for me to mirror the sw-soft archive, so its possible you'll be able to access packages through the updater that you cant through yum.
