Are you using any rpms from other archives? Like Dag's or ATs? That could mangle up q-s a bit. Id also make sure that clamav or SA is installed and running before you install q-s. Sometimes it will freak out in the detection phase if it cant use a content scanner.

I have a new server and did yum install clamav and qmail-scanner from
http://3es.atomicrocketturtle.com/atomic/atomic/3ES/

and after qmail-scanner I could send mail but it never came back. It was server wide also.

If you get an error like that on an rpm install, its generally indicative that something has failed pretty badly.

The reconfigure command worked fine. But at this point, my webmin that I installed from Dag was giving me perl errors. After trying to find the error in the logs and sort it, I rebooted and other than having to manually restart webmin, all is well now.

Before I installed the qmail-scanner, I had installed Sophos InterCheck server.

From the Anti-spam/Anti-virus RPMS for qmail project page, it is listed that:
"The above will automatically download and install spamassassin, clamav, and The above will automatically download and install spamassassin, clamav, and razor-agents, as well all the dependency rpms required for qmail-scanner. , as well all the dependency rpms required for qmail-scanner".

I did not see any of this happen. Spamassassin was already installed. I had Sophos installed, so I figure thats why clamav did not load. But I did not see anything about the razor-agents being installed.

Do I need to install it myself?

BTW, here is the info from my yum.log file for today:

Ah, you're using stuff from Dag huh? His daemontools will definitely break the hell out of my stuff (working on fixing that, just havent had the time). You cannot mix archives at this time

I only installed webmin from Dag's archive. The files were:

webmin
perl-Mon
perl-Net-SSLeay
perl-Convert-BER

Nothing else. Other than the perl conflict before my restart, I have not seen any other conflicts. The daemontools were added from your archive, not from Dag's.

I added Dag's yum archive entries to the yum.conf, installed webmin, then took the entries back out of the conf file. I only keep CentOS and your entries active in the yum.conf and rhn sources files.

These have all been installed on a test system that I have been using.

For the antivirus/antispam qmail-scanner to work, do I have to manually add the razor-agents from your archive?

Id have to take a look at it to be honest, we offer commercial support for this kind of thing if you need a hand.
