Hello all,

i often see posts concerning upgrading the Mysql server to a more recent version than 3.XXX on an existing PSA production server but i'm a little confused with all the thing i read.

could someone tell me what i should exactly do.

i have added the atomic and psa810 repo and using up2date -l, i get the following output :

[root@mx2 SOURCES]# up2date -l

I heard about library/dependency problems; but I'm not a Linux guru, so i really ask myself if i should do this really ;-))

Thanks for your help

If you're on PSA 8.1 then you can run anything up to Mysql 5.0 without any problems. I've got the necessary -compat libs in my archive to avoid any dependency issues you'll run into with other apps.

can't find ossec-hids-0-1.0-1.rhel3.art.i386.hdr for mysql

Just tried to update mysql and got the following errors about missing ossec-hids headers... Any ideas? I can't see it in the headers directory at http://3es.atomicrocketturtle.com/atomi ... S/headers/

Thanks!

I tried the update via yum, and it worked w/out any issue.

Just to clarify, though, do your MySQL packages have any dependencies on OSSEC-HIDS? Thanks much for the packages and the help!

No thats probably an artifact of the new build server and the way I'm tying everything together.
