App-Vault stuff.

Unread post by Galactic Zero »

Hello,

Ok, after upgrading to 8.1, I decided to test to see if I could install all of the apps in the vault. I've been running php 5.0.4 from ART forever.. or at least it seems that way and under 7.5.4 I could install Joomla however I'm not able to install Joomla under 8.1 and I get the error that Joomla needs ==PHP4.0.0 to install when I have 5.0.4 from ART. One other package that is configured this way is XRMS and I have 4 that say they need <5.0.0 to install.

So, is there a file I need to change to make it so these apps install?

Thanks,
Franklyn

Is that my Joomla rpm telling you that, or is that Joomla itself giving you an error?

Yes, this is from your distro.
When trying to use the app install within the CP for a domain to set this up I get :

PHP version The component version on the server does not satisfy the site application's requirements. == 4.x.x 5.0.4-13.rhel3.art

Just to be sure I removed Joomla that was installed to be sure that it wasn't overwritten during the upgrade process to 8.1 from 7.5.4 The above is the same result before I removed Joomla.

[root@gz upload]# rpm -e Joomla
[root@gz upload]# yum install Joomla

I unfortunately lost the src.rpm for that package, so I dont really have any visibility into whats going on with it.

How about the 1.0.8-1 in the atomic testing channel? I'm trying to teach myself how to create these app-vault packages and by looking at what is currently installed I'm thinking it can be done, would like to see a src.rpm file so I can see if what I'm doing is jiving...

You could try and reverse engineer some ideas out of it, sure
