Plesk 8.1 Autoinstaller not working

Unread post by macgregor »

Hello, I have Plesk 8.1 running on a CentOS Install and get the following error when I run update via the control panel:

Error: You are using CentOS Linux 4.4, but autoinstaller was compiled for RedHat Enterprise Linux 4. Exiting autoinstaller. .

Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers!

I guess you installed the RHEL4 version on a CentOS 4 server. They're binary compatible, but Plesk's autoinstaller looks at the contents of /etc/redhat-release and doesn't find exactly what it's looking for.

You could try downloading the CentOS autoinstaller and upgrade Plesk that way.

Will that effect any of the sites on the box?

Let's see what you have installed:

Code: Select all

# rpm -qa | grep ^psa | sort
