unexplained automatic server reboots on new plesk 8.2 server

Hey guys (and gals?),

I recently setup a new Plesk 8.2 server, running on a centos 4.5 OS, 64 bit SMP kernel.

I've three times now experienced an issue where the server for no apparent reason has rebooted itself. No messages in any logs that I can find.

The only semi-common thread I can find between the times the server has done this is that I was attempting to do a manual migration of a few domains and had them fail a few times saying that it couldn't contact the migration daemon running on the local unix socket. The domain itself was setup enough for me to finish it myself (copy the data over, etc) and I could see a process still running on the server related to the migration(s) but just ignored it. Perhaps this might be related to the reboot issue?

What mechanisms might exist on the server that could reboot it without notice like this?

Thanks!

heat can do it. Bad hardware, or buggy firmware.

good point, perhaps time to google the latest lmsensors rpms to log some temp data. Although I'm not convinced it isn't a software level issue.
