Server restart loses qmail-scanner/clamav/spam protection

Hi guys,

Still absolutely over the moon with the package/anti spam when running, really makes a night and day difference on my server. However, a quick question -

I've had a couple of server reboots over the last month, after each reboot the spam protection is no longer there. Upon restart, I go into Plesk, stop qmail, spam assassin, go into SSH and do a qmail-scanner-reconfigure and restart spam assassin. But this only seems to bring it back only 2/4 times.

Is there a recommended (script'ed?) reconfigure/recovery method for this? Would be grateful of any hints/tips.

Cheers,
Graeme.

I'd uninstall PSA-Spamassassin and only use ART's spamassassin, qmail-scanner, Phyzor and DCC. I'd also install Dag's clamd.

Once you install all this, be sure to run qmail-scanner-reconfigure.

Yep, already got the ClamAV, Pyzor in there as part of the package. I'm wondering if when I kill Spam Assassin and Qmail in Plesk, it auto-restarts before qmail-reconfigure has had a chance to reconfigure qmail? Seems to hit every other reconfigure after a reboot :S

Do it from shell, then it shouldn't restart...
