Which OS

Which OS would you recommend for a Plesk VPS CentOS4/5 FC5/6/7?
I was going to go with FC7 but my hosting provider said they normally use CentOS, they are willing to give me FC7 but this is making me second guess my decision.
I'm not a Linux expert and had thought that FC7 was more up to date with the apache and PHP versions.
Any advice is welcome, Thanks.

CentOS 5, best OS for a hosting system in my opinion. Fedora is what I use on the desktop.

Is there any reason why? Performance, security easy of use?

Its personal preference. I use Fedora on my servers as well as desktops. Yes it has a shorter life time, but that is a good thing as you get to clean up your servers yearly and start clean.
However fedora support the current release, the previous release. When a new version comes out they support all 3 for 1 month then drop the oldest, so you have ample time to get around to upgrading.
Then you hit the upgrade debate - upgrade or fresh install. I have done both but I now lean to a fresh install.

RHEL/CentOS all the way. Plesk isn't even done for Fedora 7 yet I believe and Fedora Core 6 and older are all already EOL'd by the Fedora Project.
If you like bleeding edge, go with Fedora. If you want to sleep at night, go with RHEL/CentOS.

Plus anything useful in hosting from Fedora (like php, or mysql) I'm duplicating in ART anyway.
Inversely, on the desktop I do like to refresh the whole thing every 10 months or so. Just so I can stay on top of the latest advances.
