I was just wondering if any CentOS 4 users had applied the latest round of patches (4.6), and if there were any reported issues with PSA or ART's packages. There are over 100 package updates, so I'm being cautious. I'm upgrading a test server (VMWare) now.

After yesterday's update, I now am getting serveral "httpd" processes started by 'root' instead of apache. Is this normal or is there something that I should be watching for?

I believe there should be one running as root.

That's what I thought, just one httpd process as 'root'. I have been having 4 to 6 an hour start as root. This has been since the upgrade. I have now stopped and restarted httpd to see if this clears up.

I have an interesting one after upgrading to 4.6.

Instead of the usual message from rkhunter I got this instead:

***************
/etc/cron.daily/01-rkhunter:

grep: writing output: Broken pipe
grep: writing output: Broken pipe
(repeated lots and lots and lots of times)
***************

This is with rkhunter-1.2.9-8.el4.art
