Is it possible (and wise?) to upgrade a CentOS 4 system with Plesk 8.3 and ASL running to CentOS 5 without problems?
Thx!

It is possible but definitely not wise.
So upgrade an OS, make a backup of the plesk data, upgrade OS from scratch, then restore the data. The problem with this is you can't test beforehand that the backup will work correctly and restore correctly.
The best option is therefore to have two servers (even only temporarily). You can then test the data restoration on the second server before doing the real thing later on.
With two servers you could even use Migration Manager to pull the data from the first to the second server. Then install C5 on the first server and Migrate the data from the second server back to the first one again.
