Installing qmail-scanner on 64-bit OS needs 32-bit glibc?

I like 64-bit clean OS installs. However, installing qmail-scanner (which is a noarch package) brings in 32-bit glibc. Could the package be modified to not require 32-bit glibc, but just glibc?
