Bind Upgrade and Spamassassin Hang

I just yum updated bind to 9.3.4-6.0.3.P1.el5_2. When I run spamassassin -D it hangs at the last line:

[32272] dbg: dns: is Net::DNS::Resolver available? yes
[32272] dbg: dns: Net::DNS version: 0.59

This did not happen prior to the bind update and exited normally. Any ideas as to what is happening?
