LibClamAV Error: cli_loadmd5: Problem parsing database

Our monitoring reported that clamd had stopped.

Running freshclam didn't help, I had to remove /var/clamav/daily.cld before I could start clamd again. Running freshclam again after that worked fine. This box is running clamav-0.94.2-3.el5.art.x86_64.

yeah thats coming from clamav direct feed. Not ours, short of re-implementing freshclam I dont know that there is anything we can do about it from our side.
