Hello,

I have recently performed a php upgrade to version 5 and mysql upgrade to version 4.1 using yum and art. Everything is working on the sever except plesk control panel. I get a 403 permission denied error when trying to access https://mydomain.com:8443.

The problem seemed to be reported here http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=81939 by someone else too.

Thanks

So the good news here is that PHP has *nothing to do* with the plesk admin daemon. That thread is all over the place, so honestly its probably doing more harm than good.

mysql *could* be the issue here, what distro are you using, and what version of mysql did you have before?

Shouldn't happen since Plesk runs its own instance of Apache and PHP. Have you tried restarting Plesk?

Code: Select all

service psa restart

Used MYSQL http://downloads.mysql.com/archives/mys ... c23.tar.gz

Upgraded from 3.23

psa restart returns

psa: unrecognized service

probably not a good thing :(

I definitely would not use those packages from mysql.com, I bet that's your problem. Use the ones for your specific distribution.

A yum list shows

mysql-bench i386 4.1.21-2.rhfc2.art atomic
mysql-devel i386 4.1.21-2.rhfc2.art atomic

Then you didn't use those packages from mysql.com. :) Are you really running Fedora Core 2? Fedora Core 2 reached end of life over 4 years ago... And what is your Plesk version?

I upgraded through the MYSQL package first but then remembered that YUM picked it up when upgrading PHP. The reason I didnt YUM to start is because it didnt work.

Yes FC2, planned upgrade very soon.

Plesk 8.2
