Newb Questions

Unread post by howler48 »

It's come to this because I can't seem to find the information clearly anywhere.

What's the difference between ART and ASL? Aside from having to pay for the latter.

Is ART now deprecated?

ART is the free and open repository for packages like PHP, mysql, spamassassin, etc. ASL is a subscription only repository for our security suite

ASL is ART's security package. It provides a higher level of security, a GUI interface to configure security, faster CS, a ticketing system, auto installer programs ect. It is a more robust security package than others out there and is a good place for novice and experienced web hosters. Over all, I'd recommend ASL for anyone on a Linux box and with his integration into Plesk a perfect solution.

I'm not currently using ASL however if I change hosting providers or get a new server I'll add this to my list.

Thanks, it wasn't clear to me if atomic was still supported.
