As many of you know, I keep a very close eye on our logs.

I've noticed that after the far east/East Asia and former soviet countries, IPs listed as being in the state of Texas are most often responsible for attack attempts against our servers.

What's with Texas? Does it have a particularly large population of dedicated server/co-lo/VPS providers or something?

Faris.

Yes. I see the same high occurrence of Texas based servers, usually hosted by cheap VPS/shared hosting providers (with automated sign-up).
