New to ASL - can't find it!

Unread post by chuteless »

Hello,

I've recently been asked to take over a server and website, which I was led to believe had ASL installed. I've got Plesk 8.1.1 on Fedora Core 4 - I'm not actually going to be looking after it myself in the long run (I'm not an expert - I've got someone else who's far more knowledgeable to do it!), but I can't find any reference to ASL anywhere on the server. Is there somewhere definite I can check, to see whether or not ASL is in fact installed?

Many thanks for your help.

rpm -q asl would tell you if it is installed

Thanks Scott - I just get "package asl is not installed", so I guess that answers my question!

Fedora Core 4? Updates to that version ended around mid 2006: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/LifeCycle/EOL

You might want to migrate to a supported OS.

Sounds about right - I've got a feeling there's a lot of updating needed to both the server and website!

I'm more a web dev person myself, so will put it on the 'to-do' list for my colleague!
