ATOMIC psa-atmail & Plesk9.3 Error: Password file could not

Hi,

when using psa-atmail.noarch-1:1.03-6.el5.art from atomic repo with Plesk 9.3 it leads to the error:
Error: Password file could not be found
Switched back to Parallels version and it's working immediately.

Maybe something for the minor update list.
Thanks

edit: this might help

remove psa-atmail
install psa-atmail from plesk repo first
and then upgrade with psa-atmail from atomic repo

I had the same exact problem with a new Plesk Server 9.5.2.

I followed the instructions above to get it working, but wanted to elaborate for anyone who doesn't quite understand what to do:

1) yum remove psa-atmail

2) Login to Plesk and go to "updates" then install the "atmail webmail support" module.

3) yum update psa-atmail

And that's it. . .you're done. It worked like a charm once I was done.

I did run into the initial problem of NOT being able to remove psa-atmail initially -- kept getting errors from yum.

To fix that problem first try this. . .

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/webmailmng --remove --name=atmail

You *may* get errors when trying the webmail manager. . .if that happens use RPM to get it done:

rpm -e psa-atmail --noscripts

After you're done removing it, then do what I mentioned above, and Atmail will work without a hitch. . .

Anyway, that's my two cents. . .take care folks!

Hi,

I am having the reverse problem! when i do as described above, ....

using art atmail clients were complaining that randoml emails were being opened that show totally blank. When i googled how to fix this, the general consensus was to roll back to the original plesk version.

however, when i did this ... the original plesk atmail gives the " no password" error.
Upgrading to the current art version again fixes this yes... ,,, but then i have the blank email problem again...

im now in between a rock and a hard place....

any suggestions gratefully received

cheers
will

Hey Will. . .

What do you server logs show??

Did you check the logs to see what error message is being given when the e-mail shows up blank??

Try checking: /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog

Let me know what it shows.

Actually that's the mail log, you might want to check /var/log/messages

Get back to me when you can, and I'll try to help you out!
