Cannot pop after upgrade

Unread post by jorgece »

Update.

Sorry my bad; norton's firewall in my laptop tricked me; its was a bad coincidence that after rebooting it closed port 110.
The good thing is that everything is working fine, so its safe to update to these rpms.

after restart, everything worked fine except that all incoming mail was greylisted; even though GL was disabled for the server and became impossible POP to get mail, mail agents timeout trying to download mail and POP intent is not even registered in the maillog. Still IMAP works fine as well as spamassassin.
After searching unsuccessfully after several hours, decided to switch Qmail for POSTFIX, hoping it would fix the flaw; still the same error.

Port 110 is open and working; I can send mail from within and outside the server. Have restarted all the services but still POP won't work.

I came to think that maybe DNS for POP was affected somehow by one or some of the new installed upgrades but don't know where to look at.

Any idea anyone ?

TIA
