I'm trying to understand a simple problem which I'm fighting with for 2 days.

I want to develop my website directly using joomla files. Hosting company support Plesk.
I managed to create locale file www.web-site.com/joomla and I test it.
But I couldn't find out how can I work directly on www.web-site. I transfered the joomla files under httpdocs. But then?
Still i don't see joomla starting page there.

Most probably it's silly question but I'm blind. Please help me :(

Thanks.

Really not sure how you mean, but for me it just works. Instead of putting the joomla installation in a subdirectory, put it in httpdocs.

On CentOS 5 put all files and dirs form the Joomla directory inside: /var/www/vhosts/web-site.com/httpdocs/

Also make sure php is turned on for web-site.com.

I install Joomla last version via Plesk I got a url: http://www.website.com/joomla
And when I click that I see joomla admin page. But this is local, right?

Apart from that I coppied the joomla files under httpdocs via FTP.
when I click the website url, I want to see that joomla admin page like the local one??

Am I confused ?

After I wrote this mail, I uninstall joomla files from plesk and install them again under the direct website.
Now it works.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

No problem! Glad you got it working!

I initially thought you installed it from the Joomla installation file, not from the Plesk interface. Personally I always prefer the manual way with the Joomla installation file.
