Update problem

I did a yum update from atomicorp and now have some problems in Plesk and on some sites.

I have Plesk 9.2.3 and Fedora 7

Some sites the database doesn't work on the web and phpmyadmin shows nothing. These sites have this: '_-_' in the database name and are all from one client. The rest of my sites work fine.

I can create a database in Plesk but I can't create a user, although it says I have that user after I tried again.

I can't get ftp to work anymore for any site on the server, tried changing a password.

I have the allowdowngrade plugin installed

How is the best way to walk back from this mess?

I fixed the mysql problem.

I'm sort of stuck with Fedora 7 until at least the end of the year.

psa-proftpd is the problem with my ftp as it's Plesk 10 I believe and I won't be seeing that either.

It does log in but doesn't return a page in secure mode. I'm going to mess with it a bit the remove it and back out and see what happens.

I would never run production systems on operating systems that reached end of life and probably contain known vulnerabilities. (Also, I'd look into upgrading to a more recent release of Plesk 9. Current version of Plesk 9 is 9.5.4.)

What makes you think this is a Plesk 10 package? As far as I can see that's the exact same atomic package that we're using on our Plesk 9 servers.

Oh man, that is a really terrible position to be in, FC7 has a LOT of unpatched widely known vulnerabilities. I'd do anything you can to get off FC7, make that your number one priority. You're also going to have little to no luck finding fixes for anything on FC7, its like running a Disk Operating System from a Tandy, its dead.
