hi,

i have a RH9 server and i'm not using plesk (or any control panel) but i would like to upgrade to mysql 4. is there any reason that i wouldn't be able to use the atomic mysql packages?

also, would i have to upgrade anything else other than the four mysql packages (mysql, mysql-server, mysql-devel, mysql-compat) such as php or apache, or would those be sufficient?

thanks!

p.s. i apologize if this question is answered elsewhere. i searched, but i didn't find anything relevant.[/b]

Yep, you should be fine, just add the [atomic] channel and run yum update. With a few legacy exceptions (squirrelmail) all the packages should be compatible with all rh9 based systems.
