and installed it. > yum install atomic-psa >

Downloading needed headers
Cannot find a package matching atomic-psa
No actions to take

> MySQL still 3.23

The question is:
How can I upgrade MySQL whithout pain in the… back?

You needed to add in the [atomic] channel to your yum.conf
