Not receiving mail

Dear Turtles
I was using the Qmail as described in Qmailrocks.org.
however, since it uses Vpopmail and various other things, updating PLesk 7.1 was going to be a problem, apart from the issue that whenever you wanted to reconfigure domains Plesk complained about Qmail (for instance, not able to set up quotas or limits for the number of mailboxes)
I reinstalled spamassassin, courier-imap, and removed the qmail installation completely. I rebooted my PC, and reconfigured Xinetd. Now, all the usual ports (110, 25... ) are open.
I sent myself an email from Yahoo, and it didn't worked. However, I sent an email from my newly created account (using Thunderbird), and I was able to receive that mail from my Yahoo account.
However, when I reply to that message, I never receive it.
telnet localhost 110
user myname@mydomain.com
pass mypass (I know is right)
Connnection terminated[/i]
