Anybody know if it is possible to modify either the xinetd.d/smtp_psa or any other file that would include the username of the user who is logging in via smtp when it is logged into /var/log/secure?

Currently it only gives the ip address, which is helpfull to track abusers (in my case, one of my customers was infected with a virus), but it would be so much easier fo the user info was included, much like when someone logs in via ssh.

I dont have anything no, but you're absolutely right, that would be an invaluable feature. If I see anything that would do that for you, I'll definitely post about it.
