Updating FC2 / 7.5.4 reloaded - glibc-common error
Posted: Thu Dec 22, 2005 4:42 am
Hi,
I'm trying to run yum for the first time on FC2 /7.5.4 reloaded system.
My system did not have yum so I installed yum. Modified the yum.conf and installed what I believe are the appropriate keys. And I get the following error.
[root@server etc]# yum update
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Atomic Rocket Turtle - 2 - Atomic PSA-Compatible RPMS
Server: Atomic Rocket Turtle - 2 - Base OS RPMS mirror
Server: Atomic Rocket Turtle - 2 - SW-Soft PSA 7.5 RPMS
Server: Atomic Rocket Turtle - 2 - OS Update RPMS mirror
Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
Resolving dependencies
.....Unable to satisfy dependencies
Package glibc-dummy-fedora-core-2 needs glibc-common = 2.3.3-27.1, this is not available.
What should I do next. I'm a novice - very novice. Thank you, Amira
