Same here. The event log shows no events. There are events because the Notifications show that the event log has been updated. (And we triggered the foo test to make sure.)

How can we get events to display?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure what changed, but events are showing up...at least partially. For example, the "Rule" description is missing. The number is present, but clicking on it doesn't work...just shows "Initializing" endlessly.

And we see lots of things like these under "Notices":

For the missing tables/events:

Run the following: /var/asl/bin/asl --web_validate

If that does not resolve the issue, run /var/asl/bin/database-setup choosing 'y' to reinstall the database.

jgodwin:

Out of curiosity, what does the --web_validate command do?

Thanks.

It's a general check of some of the things that ASL Web needs to do what it does (web specific table and trigger creation primarily), but actually was not the correct solution for this particular issue.

Running /var/asl/bin/aum -uf (either manually or the scheduled runs) would have solved.
