Virtual Appliance throws an error when installing

I'm trying to create a new VM using the OSSEC virtual appliance OVA on ESXi 8, but it throws an error:

Line 16: Missing child element 'VirtualHardwareSection'.

I also attempted to download OSSEC+, but it wouldn't let me register. Kept telling me my e-mail already existed, but if I try a password reset, it tells me my e-mail doesn't exist.

Is there a known issue with the OVA?
