APC and PHP 5.0.4

Unread post by jason|xoxide »

Just as a warning to those of you that use it, APC does NOT work with PHP 5.0.x. You'll need to use eAccelerator or wait for PHP 5.1.x to become available.

I'm not a big fan of eAccelerator so I guess my forum servers are going to hold back at PHP 4.4.2 so I can still use APC.

added a note on the php page. BTW, there are 5.1.x packages in the atomic-bleeding channel.

Gotcha, maybe I'll give the 5.1.x packages a try.

I saw the note on the project page. Here's the confirmation from PECL. Read the last post of the first two and the last 3 of the final link.

EDIT: Just looked and the PHP 5.1.x packages are for RHEL4, we're running RHEL3.
