Re: proxmox ispconfig asl
Until now I didn't get any answer from support or forum.
Perhaps you don't understand the english or you are in vacation in switzerland
Could you describe precisely the steps to install asl on the server and in the container
thks

Re: proxmox ispconfig asl
So my understanding is that proxmox is a front end for openvz right?
Re: proxmox ispconfig asl
have you tried reading the installation instructions?
If everything was easy, then the world wouldn't need engineers.
Re: proxmox ispconfig asl
you're absolutely right.scott wrote:So my understanding is that proxmox is a front end for openvz right?
proxmox
inside proxmox, some containers (openvz) and nothing else. Notice: containers are under control proxmox!
inside containers, some websites +/- a panel (ispconfig 3.05) - this panel has nothing to do with openvz/proxmox.

Another question: what happens if we migrate ct?
Re: proxmox ispconfig asl
seems to be a little different with vm.hostingg wrote:have you tried reading the installation instructions?
or perhaps i get the wrong page?
I read again:
anything else?VPS based systems
If you are using a VPS based virtualization technology, like openvz or Virtuzzo, you can not install any kernel in a VPS. VPS' do not have a kernel, they share the host systems kernel. Therefore, you will not be able to install any kernel in a VPS, including the ASL secure kernel, and do not need to reboot.

Re: proxmox ispconfig asl
Thank you for the question. You would install ASL into each VPS, as explained in the installation instructions. VPS' dont have a kernel, so the installer wont install the ASL kernel into the VPS. This process is automatic, and there is nothing you need to do. Just run the ASL installer in each VPS.
