I'm trying to learn about clam and SA to setup on a new box. I'm setting up a FC3 box and intend to add both from ART but am unsure about how they need to be setup after install.
Is clam set to automatically keep itself updated with signature files on some set basis?
If a virus is found in an attachment is the attachment automatically deleted and the email delivered with a notice to that effect?
Are there instructions for this latest version of SA to set it up globally so that I can teach it what is spam and what is ham and then have that apply to all my users?
If I'll be using Plesk to set up all the mail accounts, how do I set them all to use SA?
[As if you can't tell, I'm new to the Linux world and hoping the pros here won't mind giving me some direction]
thanks very much!

Bare with me, that was a long post of questions, so I can only summerize:
Qmail-scanner is what runs everything, you need that. Yes clamav updates itself, no other maintenance required. Virii are quantined by default, qmail-scanner can also notify the sender/reciever. Spamassassin instructions are in their man pages, or website. Qmail-scanner is set up as a global anti-spam/anti-virus system. Spam training effects all users. SA and AV are enabled on all accounts by default, it is a "zero-configuration" system, no other interaction required.

Sorry to pummel you with questions! I appreciate your patience with me.
I've installed clam, SA, and qmail-scanner. I looked at the q-s readme and see instructions about patches, setting up default user account, memory suggestions, and running configure. I'm unsure what setup I might need to do for q-s?
Lastly, if I use Plesk to add all my accounts, will SA be setup for all of them? Even though my Plesk SA settings are greyed out?
Again, I appreciate your patience with my basic questions on this and previous thread. You are a prince among men....no, wait, a King!
thanks!

One last SA question. Are you saying that I don't have to change any SA configs for site-wide system setup? If I copy ham and spam mailboxes to directories on my server and use sa-learn on them, then you're saying that SA will be trained and will work site-wide for all my accounts?
I believe I read that this new version of SA allows settings to delete spam that scores above a certain level and marks subject with ***SPAM*** if it scores at the spam level up to the delete level?
thanks again!
